about

Trovarobato is proud to announce its first 2012 release: Boxeur The Coeur debut album "November Uniform".

It's an equally sensual and shocking collision of avantgarde, pop, dance and folk musics written by Pabliz Yocka and co-produced by Shannon Fields (founding member/producer of the Brooklyn-based avant-pop collective Stars Like Fleas) and features a number of guest collaborators, including Jon Natchez (Beirut, Yellow Ostrich).

As Pabliz himself explains:
“The words NOVEMBER and UNIFORM come from the NATO/ICAO alphabet, where they identify the letters “N” and “U” which, when read together, sound like the english word “NEW”. And this was the simplest way I could describe this work. Despite having connections with my past, it explores different territories. The two words are stolen from a radio communication I've been using in one of the songs. At one point they started to echo relentlessly in my head until I decided to choose themas the title.

This is also my first fully solo work. I've always wanted to “steal” solutions from “Avant-garde” music to introduce them into a “Popular” context. I think “Pop” sensibility can only be strengthened and polished from this crossbreeding.
I've been working a lot on the arrangements, helped by the savvy yet innovative co-production of Shannon Fields."
The background of the album is pretty varied, including German Kosmische Musik, Detroit Techno, Freak-Folk, Minimalist Pop, Dub, Ambient and Electro.
